Minerals Finance Team is an exclusive financing solutions provider focused on the minerals trade in West Africa. We exist to remove the single biggest obstacle facing legitimate international buyers: upfront-payment risk.
Who we are
We are a Freetown-headquartered team of minerals-trade professionals, due-diligence specialists and logistics operators working across sixteen West African countries. Our financing comes from two fronts — institutional partners and private partners — who provide the funds for mineral transactions that we sanction, monitor and supervise from start to finish.
Our role in every deal is the same: provide our lenders with qualified, credible, legitimate buyers, and provide those buyers with transactions that have been verified on the ground by people who know the full lay of the land. We are in this terrain. We know which documents are real, which offices issue them, which prices are plausible and which sellers are performances.
Why the model works
The West African minerals trade is full of genuine supply and genuine opportunity — and saturated with advance-fee fraud that exploits the distance between an overseas buyer and the ground truth. Most schemes share one mechanic: get the buyer to pay something, anything, before independently verified goods exist. Taxes. Export licences. Storage. Shipping. "Inflow documentation."
Our model breaks that mechanic completely. In a financed transaction the buyer pays nothing upfront. Every legitimate cost is pre-financed by us and paid directly to the actual government offices and service providers — never routed through a seller. We are only paid when the deal concludes successfully: product delivered, final assay passed, settlement made per the signed agreement. Our incentives and yours point in exactly the same direction.

How we are structured
Two sources of capital, one standard of scrutiny
Funding for the transactions we sanction comes through two channels. Both apply the same rule: no financing moves before our due diligence clears the deal.
Institutional partners
Established financing institutions that fund larger and recurring transactions. Institutional deals favour buyers with documented trade history and suit program structures — recurring monthly tranches with scaling volume, like our Ghana supply programs.
Private partners
Vetted private lenders who fund individual transactions with speed and flexibility. Private capital often suits first deals and time-sensitive opportunities, with the buyer introduced directly to the lender before funds are approved — transparent, on the record.

Verification before money
No financing is committed before seller verification, witnessed proof of product and testing on calibrated equipment at a recognised facility.
Lawful channels only
Every transaction runs through the licensed export system of its origin country — taxes paid to the authorities, documents confirmed at source, custody trail complete.
Terms in writing
Costs, fees, timelines, delivery and settlement are agreed and signed before execution. Fees are success-based; there are no hidden charges and no surprises.
Honest answers
If your deal is a scam, we will tell you — plainly, in writing, with the evidence. More deals fail our due diligence than pass it, and every failure is a buyer's capital preserved.

Our head office is at No 78, Hamilton Avenue, Freetown, Sierra Leone, open Mon – Sat, 07:00 – 18:00 GMT. In-person meetings are welcome by appointment, and during a financed transaction your team or representative can attend testing and export procedures alongside ours. We encourage it — transparency is cheap for honest parties and expensive for dishonest ones.
