Gold Purchase Financing in Mali
Mali consistently ranks among Africa's top gold producers, with industrial mines and a vast artisanal sector feeding the Bamako market. It is also a complex operating environment: security conditions, shifting export rules and long inland logistics chains make it one of the easiest places for an international buyer to be separated from their money. We operate in Mali only through established local partners, and we structure deals so that the buyer's capital is never at risk before delivery.

Mali's gold supply
Industrial production is concentrated in the south and west — the Kayes region and the Kéniéba belt near the Senegal border, and the Sikasso region in the south. Alongside the mines, hundreds of thousands of artisanal miners produce gold that aggregates in Bamako. That aggregation chain is opaque by nature, which is why proof of product, witnessed testing and verified weights are non-negotiable steps in every Mali transaction we finance.
Logistics and compliance realities
Mali is landlocked, so commercial gold export is overwhelmingly by air from Bamako–Sénou International Airport, with valuation, taxes and export documentation completed in Bamako. Export regulations and security conditions in Mali can change at short notice, and any financing partner who pretends otherwise is not being honest with you. Part of our role is to price and plan around current conditions — escorted ground movement where required, insurance in place, and documentation that will stand up at the destination.
Financing structure for Mali
We pre-finance verified purchases, all legitimate government charges, secure handling and air freight. Due diligence timelines in Mali are the longest of our core markets, and we decline more deals here than anywhere else — which is precisely what protects the buyers and the lenders we work with. If your Mali deal passes our scrutiny, it is worth doing.
